A Breath of Fresh Air

"So, can you tell me what you do?"

We get this question from time to time..

Here's the answer:

A devastating diagnosis turns life upside down in an instant.
Suddenly the only priorities are life and health!
Homework and meal planning take a back seat.
Schedules, stability and routine are destroyed.
Siblings need attention now more than ever, but the adults in the family have their hands full.

Kochavim keeps families from falling apart.

We step in with support and services so they can continue to function and thrive while they navigate the challenges of constant medical crisis.

We provide home-cooked meals, help with homework, babysitting when needed, a special classroom for medically fragile children, after school program for siblings, scheduled trips and events, Morahs-on-Wheels learning with kids in the hospital and at home, and much more!

For patients coming from out of state and Israel, we provide apartments beautifully set up  with new linen, towels, housewares, groceries, and everything needed for their home away from home.

We also have respite homes where parents and families dealing with illness can rest and rejuvenate so they have can continue their difficult journey with renewed strength and positivity.

Preparing for Pesach is a big project in every home. When the home is challenged by serious illness, it becomes almost impossible.

On Erev Pesach we will take kids with cancer and other serious illnesses, and their siblings on a day trip to Thrillz, to give their moms some time to get ready for yom tov.

We do this trip every year. This is a lifesaving breath of fresh air for parents who are struggling to keep it all together while living with the challenges of constant medical crisis.

The cost for one child is $22 (including transportation and lunch).
We have 250 children signing up for this trip.
How many children would you be able to sponsor?

Warmest wishes for a joyful Pesach (and Pesach prep!) for you and yours..
